The Food & Beverage Manager position is salaried and requires a 5-day work-week off season, and 6-day work-week during our winter season (including weekends and holidays), as defined by CA Law, unique to the ski industry (IWC 10-2001, 3-K)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following:
Successful candidate will oversee all Operations and Administrative Duties:
• Ability to develop and maintain departmental policies, procedures, and time-saving workflows
• Plans, organizes, and manages operations and staff of the food, beverage, and bar operations to ensure high customer service in a timely fashion
• Coaches, supports and evaluates the performance of all direct reports
• Coordinates activities with other Mountain High departments for marketing and operational events to ensure the smooth functioning of the food and beverage operations
• Identifies problems or deficiencies related to food and beverage operations
• Arranges for routine maintenance and upkeep of food and beverage operations
• Oversees food and beverage inventory and ensures proper inventory controls are in place while managing COGS effectively
• Assists with maintaining compliance in F&B departmental quality as it relates to industry wide standards
• Ensures that associates are in compliance with cash handling and all other mountain operations’ policies & procedures
• Works with food vendors negotiating pricing, delivery and acceptance of orders for department
• Hires, trains and motivates F&B Staff for multiple food venues ranging from Quick Casual to Full Service Casual Dining
• Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS include but are not limited to the following:
• 2-5 years successful management in industry related work
• Must be a self-starter, goal-oriented, with ability to multi-task
• Have a highly developed sense of integrity and confidentiality
• Must be able to adapt to a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and maintain a high-level of professionalism
• This position requires high-level customer service and problem solving skills
• Must have working knowledge of health department guidelines as well as State of California & Los Angeles County liquor laws, permits, licenses, minors work permits, etc.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, during busy season
• ServeSafe Certificate and Food Handler’s Card a plus
